Join me as I read a book a week, 52 books 52 weeks.
Here’s what you’ll get out of it as you join me:
- No wasted time
- Be interesting
- Get motivated
No wasted time
The biggest obstacle in starting to read is not knowing if the book you read will be entertaining or useful. You can never tell how you’re going to enjoy a book based on a short blurb on the back or from reviews online.
How is this different?
If you’re on this blog, I assume you’re looking to being a more interesting person. As I read through these books, I filter out books that are too niche or have little to take away.
If you don’t want read those books, no sweat. You came away from some new information that you didn’t have to slave hunched over a book and squinting at 12pt font to find.
It’s nice to have something in your back pocket when somebody asks you ‘so what’s new.’ Sometimes you don’t have something to say, but now you do.
You’re the equivalent of the people and influences around you. How you see others act and behave directly influences how you act and behave. If you see me hitting these books every week, you can’t help but be motivated.
Sometimes getting motivated is the hardest part. Your goals doesn’t even have to have anything to do with reading. When you see people succeed at their goals, it makes your goals look that much more closer.
